Christian is a NSW Registered Architect and Design Practitioner with over 20 years of experience across Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. Before co-founding Merg, he held senior leadership positions in internationally recognised architectural practices, with his major works leadership contributing to architectural awards including the 2021 Sydney Lord Mayor’s Award and 2025 NSW Architecture Awards.

His portfolio encompasses a wide range of projects—from boutique commercial and residential fit outs and developments to complex, large-scale public works. Having led numerous projects from strategic business cases through to design development and construction, Christian combines strong client relationships with a practical, hands-on approach to project design and delivery.

Phillip is a licensed carpenter and registered builder based in New South Wales, bringing over a decade of experience across bespoke residential, commercial, and public sector projects.

Phillip began his journey on the tools, where he cultivated a deep appreciation for detail, structure, and quality workmanship. This early foundation shaped a practical and results-oriented approach that continues to guide his leadership today. Having progressed from carpenter to project manager and now builder, Phillip brings a rare combination of technical expertise and operational foresight, ensuring each project is not only built to specification, but executed with clarity, efficiency, and purpose.

His work spans a diverse range of sectors, from finely crafted architectural residences to complex commercial fitouts and large-scale public infrastructure.
